A Few Things about Nebraska

1. Cows outnumber humans by about 4 to 1.

2. The third largest city in Nebraska is Cornhuskers stadium on a game night. Seriously.

3. Sadly, there is nowhere to find pierogies in this state. Being such a pierogi enthusiast that I attended the Pierogi Festival last summer, this upsets me. A few other things Nebraska doesn't have: men's J. Crew, REI, and traffic.

4. I saw a man down the street from us building an igloo in his front yard at 1:30 am. Not sure if this is typical Nebraska behavior.

5. University of Nebraska actually has a pretty decent radio station. It plays Dirty Projectors and Andrew Bird, so it's all right in my book.

6. Despite what everyone seems to think, I like coming home to Lincoln. It's cozy and friendly and I can sit around and watch TV on my computer until 4 am.

On an unrelated note, I just got a cute lil netbook computer. I wonder if its tininess will at some point start eliciting a more frustrated reaction than "aww, so cute!"
